With an amazing array of vintage cars on hand, it would be fun to include a focus on automotive technology through the years. After all, the folks who invented, designed and refined cars over the past hundred years certainly qualified in the Maker realm. Even today, the restoration of historic cars is a creative endeavor. Moving cars into the alternative energy mode is another call for innovation. We're open to ideas about how we can bridge between the Mini Maker Faire and the Car Show.
Another area in which we would welcome your input is for a Saturday evening dinner/dance, which will serve as the fundraising mechanism to support the production of the Mini Maker Faire, as well as Mendocino County Museum's 4E Fund (Exhibits-Events-Education-Endowment). Last May, we had the Maker Masquerade - what are your ideas for 2014?
Finally, someone turned in a cool idea that we couldn't make happen this year, but 2014 is our opportunity - power tool races! What do you think? Is there anyone out there who would be interested in helping make this happen next year? Let us know!
